Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Lisa Krysko, special
education resource teacher at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. Lisa was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Mrs. Krysko is the glue of St. Catherine of Siena. As the school's Special Education Resource Teacher she works within every classroom and with all of the teachers - she is literally everywhere. She is an expert at creating I.E.P.'s and is extremely helpful.
Mrs. Krysko attends all team meetings and has expert knowledge about the many resources available through our school board. She speaks with a calm confidence and always has a list of ideas that will help every student.
She is patient and understanding with staff and students alike. A heart of gold and the patience of a saint. She is always willing to help and step in whenever and wherever needed.
Thank you for being a valued member of our school community!”
This week we are also celebrating Darryl Corbiere, custodian at the Catholic Education Centre. Darryl was nominated by a colleague who said:
“It is a pleasure to nominate Darryl, the CEC Custodian Supreme! Darryl is always so incredibly helpful. He completes all of his required tasks and is always prepared to help with the extras, helping to set up tables/chairs, cleaning and setting up for meetings, or just kindly carrying items to/from a car. He never complains when he is asked to assist and is always the last person to lock up the building on a late work evening. Thank you, Darryl, you make our workplace awesome!”
This week we are also celebrating Mark Flegel, HVAC
Technician at Facilities Services. Mark was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Mark is a major asset to our team at Facilities Services. He's a highly skilled tradesperson and the ultimate team player. He has a real passion for continuing to learn and help others. He comes to work every day with a winning mentality and consistently exhibits a high level of customer service. He brings a positive attitude and genuine care for the buildings we service and the staff and students working and learning in them. There isn't a week that goes by without someone commenting on how impressed they are with Mark and the way he carries himself and how well he represents Facilities Services. He deserves every bit of recognition he gets. Thanks for everything you bring to the table Mark. We're lucky to have you as part of the SMCDSB family!”
