new student registration buttonWe are excited to welcome new families to the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board!

We invite parents/guardians of new* students to the SMCDSB to complete your child's registration using our Online Student Registration Application.

*Please note that a new* student is defined as a student who has never attended the SMCDSB. The Online Student Registration Application cannot be used for former students or for students currently registered at an SMCDSB school.

Registration is now open for the 2024-2025 school year. Families can register using the Online Student Registration Application (link above) or the printable registration form (PDF linked below).

All new families to the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board must submit a complete registration package and meet with school administration prior to your child being admitted to school.

For those unable to apply online, please complete our Universal Student Registration Form (fillable PDF format). Please note you need to download the form first and open with Adobe. Once the form is completed please print and return it to the school.

Your application will require additional information and documentation to complete the registration process. You can find a list of required documents below as well as other frequently asked questions.

Your child will attend school based on established school boundaries.

Families in Simcoe County can use an Interactive Map to find the school associated with a specific address.

Does my child need to be Catholic to register?

In elementary school (Kindergarten - Grade 8), either the child or parent's Roman Catholic baptismal certificate is required for registration. There are certain exceptions outlined in our EP-01 Admission to Elementary Schools policy.

In high school, students do not have to be Catholic and proof of baptism is not required. Non-Catholic students must respect the right and practices of the Catholic school system.
