Our Catholic Kindergarten Program

belonging and contributing

Let us tell you a bit about the Kindergarten program at the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.

Kindergarten is a two-year program designed to create a strong foundation for learning. Each classroom has a teacher team, which includes a Kindergarten teacher and Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE). The teaching team will promote all areas of your child's development - spiritual, academic, social, emotional and physical - all through self-directed play.

Find out what your child will be learning on the Ministry of Education's Kindergarten website.

We are committed to foster a love of learning. Our innovative Kindergarten children benefit from   appropriate and meaningful use of technology to encourage problem solving. They also document the thinking  and ideas that they explore during play.
