There are many ways to understand and define mental health and wellness. These definitions and practices are connected to things like culture, ancestry, and family.

The Mental Health and Well-Being website contains information, resources, and practical ways for both students and parents/guardians to ask for help when you need it. Remember that you are not alone! Getting more information about mental health and finding ways to maintain your mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness is important.

OneChildAnti-Human Trafficking

At SMCDSB, we continue to build upon our strategies for increasing awareness, prevention, and responding to suspicions or disclosures of human trafficking.

Did you know that Ontario has the highest rate of Human Trafficking in Canada, according to data gathered by Statistics Canada? Here in Simcoe County and Muskoka/Parry Sound, we are considered a hot spot for human trafficking due to the highway corridor.

In collaboration with OneChild, the 2-part parent/caregiver webinar below was created to support parents and caregivers with information about human trafficking, our local context, signs to look for, and steps to address concerns.
