Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student, or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Angela Spataro, a school
office administrator at St. Peter’s Catholic Secondary School. Angela was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Angela has an amazing work ethic and positive attitude. She greets staff, students, parents, and courier companies with a smile every day. Our school is large, busy, and moves quickly, but she still completes tasks patiently, efficiently, and promptly. She is an outstanding problem solver who will find a way to get it done without any stress. We are blessed to have her at St. Peter's as a part of our office and clerical staff team.”
This week we are also celebrating Gerry Mills, an educational assistant at St. Noel Chabanel Catholic School. Gerry was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Gerry always has a smile and treats the children and staff with respect. Always asks how you are and truly listens. He has a great relationship with many parents at our school. He goes above and beyond to help out around our school. Volunteers to help maintain gardens and painted new lines on our parking lot during his own time on the weekend. Gerry is an outstanding EA who always does what is best for his students. Often Gerry will spend his extra time helping any student he sees in the hallway and give his students the extra care they need.”
We would like to thank Angela and Gerry for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
