Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

Marie CharbonneauThis week we are celebrating Marie, a Guidance Teacher at Academic Services. Marie was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Not only is Marie tirelessly devoted to the students that she works with, she is always looking for new ways to engage with them. Whether learning about mindfulness, their spiritual growth, or their future pathway, students are inspired by the positive message that Marie brings to each guidance lesson. As a result, Marie can often be found consulting with classroom teachers, SERT's, and administration to ensure that all of her student's needs are met.”

This week we are also celebrating Jennifer Harvey, JulietSMC EA Team Fotheringham, Lindsay Bowins, Danielle Thompson, Esra Senum, Stephanie Ingram and Donna Lee Carruthers, Educational Assistants at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Collingwood. “The EA team at St. Mary's Catholic School in Collingwood are some of the most compassionate, hardworking and dedicated individuals I've ever encountered. Their commitment to their students is remarkable to watch as they can completely turn a student's day around with a smile, a kind word or the right incentive. Jennifer, Lindsay, Danielle, Juliet, Stephanie, Donna Lee and Esra are wonderful people who go above and beyond in everything they do. St. Mary's Catholic School is so incredibly lucky to have these amazing women as our colleagues and friends and in our student's lives. They make a positive impact on everyone in our schools. We appreciate them so much.”
