Early Mornin’ Music Rocks Panthers!

How would you like to start your school year? Would you join a club? Try out for some school sports? Make new friends? Well how about being the DJ of your own morning radio show for the whole school to hear!? St. Peter’s Catholic Secondary School in Barrie, Grade 12 art student Shelly has been doing just that. Her radio show “Petey Panther Talks” debuted in the first few days of school, and since then has only been getting better each day.

SMCDSB Welcomes McKenna McCoy as Student Trustee

At the first board meeting of the 2017-18 school year, our Catholic community welcomed new student trustee, McKenna McCoy. The meeting was held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School in Bracebridge and included a Mass and the commissioning of McKenna into her new role by His Excellency Most Reverend Bishop Miehm.

Enrolment and Staffing Boom at Catholic Board

The number of students currently registered to attend the 50 Catholic schools in Simcoe County and the Districts of Muskoka and Parry Sound has risen to 21,338, which is up by approximately 570 students from this time last year.
