A Grade 8 student from St. Marguerite D'Youville Catholic School in Barrie, is currently making her mark at Queen's Park as a Legislative Page. Representing the Barrie, Simcoe, Oro-Medonte riding, Chloe's achievement is an example of the exceptional qualities within our school communities.

Chloe's 5-week term, running from November 14th to December 14th, positions her as a key participant during the longest Page term of 2023. Selected among 120 students from over 1000 applicants, Chloe was chosen for her academic excellence, a compelling essay, and strong recommendations from her teacher and principal.

Chloe proudly represents her riding at Queen's Park. Named Page Captain for the second time, she contributes to the smooth functioning of the assembly, distributing water and essential documents to members inside the chamber.Pages with the Sergeant at Arms
Chloe receives education in politics and legislative processes from her daily classes and keeps up with her math studies thanks to the teachers on staff at Queen's Park. Her role offers her the opportunity to network with politicians daily and to learn about our government and the people who run it.

She was also present to witness the installation of the new Lieutenant Governor, and she has had a chance to meet and ask questions of our Premier, the Sergeant at Arms and the clerks.
Chloe's participation in the Page Program highlights her
individual achievements but is also an example of the potential within our community.

We’re proud of Chloe’s dedication and celebrate the pride she brings to our school board. We can’t wait to hear more about the bright future she is shaping.
