OFSAA remains the gold standard of sporting achievement for a high school. It’s no coincidence that the Jags, dressed in maroon and gold, give it their all at OFSAA year after year.
Friday, February 22nd was a very memorable day for St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Barrie, as not one, but three teams participated in GBSSA finals.
The senior boys basketball team faced the Huntsville Hoyas in a school buyout, dominating with a score of 88-40, advancing the boys to Boys AA Basketball OFSAA in Timmins, Ontario.
However, the Jaguars OFSAA presence did not end there. In a well played volleyball game against the Bracebridge Lakers, the ladies dominated, taking all three sets. They will be travelling to Amherstburg, Ontario on March 4th for the Girls AA Volleyball OFSAA.
Last but not least let's not forget an outstanding victory from the junior girls volleyball team. Also facing a Huntsville team, the girls played a tight game, and came out as GBSSA champions!
We wish both teams good luck in their success at OFSAA and a congratulations on three awesome seasons. The Jaguars have truly upheld their standard when it comes to consistency, skill, and sportsmanship. Cheer on our Jags!
