Founded by three Bradford moms, The Great Canadian Gift Box Campaign encourages organizations to collect and fill shoeboxes with essentials to help homeless men, women and teens in Simcoe County get through our tough Canadian winters.
Staff and students at St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School in Bradford got word of the initiative and decided to support their 2018 winter campaign.
Ms. Daly and the Grade 6/7 class took the lead on the project, collecting enough items to pack and wrap 283 Christmas boxes to be delivered to homeless adults and teens during the Christmas season. Because of their fervor and initiative, 400 Chrysler in Innisfil generously donated trucks to pick-up the large donation and threw the whole school a pizza party for their effort!
Well done everyone!
