St. John Vianney Hosts "Coins for Christmas"
Students and staff at St. John Vianney Catholic School in Barrie have a long history of hosting "Coins from Heaven" each Christmas season. The annual event at their school raises funds to support the Christmas Wish project that is organized by the Board office staff.
Mr. Bell's Grade 7 class organizes, promotes and runs the event every year. Classes challenge each other to collect the most coins to receive the "Coins from Heaven" championship belts. Every year they make a generous contribution for the Board project.
St. John Vianney Catholic School, over the past 12 years, has raised contributions for Christmas Wish totalling over $36,000! Congratulations and thank you to Mr. Bell's class and all the staff, students and families of St. John Vianney!
