Kindness on the Move

St. Mary’s Students Roll Out Support for CTV Toy Mountain
Posted on 12/18/2025

The spirit of giving rolled through the hallways at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Collingwood as Grade 7 and 8 students turned a simple idea into something special in support of CTV Toy Mountain.

With a “living train” leading the way, students travelled from classroom to classroom collecting new toys, food, and school supplies. At each stop, classmates eagerly added to the growing collection, turning the school day into a shared moment of generosity and care for others.

By the end of the initiative, students had gathered 133 pounds of food for the Salvation Army Food Bank in Collingwood. Additional toy and school supply donations were delivered to CTV Toy Mountain in Barrie, where they will help brighten the holidays for families across the region.

More than a donation drive, the initiative reflected the heart of the St. Mary’s school community — coming together, looking out for others, and putting faith into action.
