With another school year, comes another successful Terry Fox Run. Schools in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) continue to support the Marathon of Hope that began 39 years ago. The 2018 Terry Fox Run at SMCDSB had 47 schools participate and raised an incredible total of $75,590 for cancer research.

It’s time to register at your local Catholic School! The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board is excited to welcome new families to our school communities for the 2019-2020 school year.

As was expected, the changes the Smoke Free Ontario Act (SFOA), 2017 became fully realized on October 17, 2018 to parallel the legalization of recreational cannabis.

As a Catholic community, one of our priorities is to nurture a sense of belonging and inclusiveness for everyone. That is why all schools and board office locations at the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board are designated as “scent free.”

Now that cannabis is officially legal in Canada, there's a few things we would like to you to know.

Want to learn a new language? The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School board is once again offering our International Languages Program to students in JK to Grade 8.
