Every week, we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student, or colleague.
This week, we are celebrating Tania Davies, a principal at

St. Monica’s Catholic School. Tania was nominated by a colleague and a parent who said:
“Tania has recently stepped into the principal role at SMO after a staffing change, and she is doing such an amazing job. Tania goes above and beyond to thank and appreciate her staff, and makes them feel welcomed, supported, and appreciated. She also supports the students and the families of our school community without any hesitation. She is an excellent leader and person to be around. She is always sharing a warm smile and is a ray of light at SMO. Thank you, Tania, for all that you do for both staff and students!”
“Mrs. Davies is an exceptional principal who cares about the students and the school. She has great communication with the parents and welcomes students to her office. Her dedication and long hours don't go unnoticed. We are truly thankful for all her hard work.”

This week, we are also celebrating Don Peltier, a lead custodian at St. John Paul ll Catholic School. Don was nominated by a colleague who said:
“We are so fortunate to have Don at our school. This is such a busy school. Don runs right / left but always has time for everyone; he keeps the school and the grounds clean and safe for all. Don always goes out of his way to help, even if it's not part of his job. We would like to thank Don for all his hard work.”
We would like to thank Tania and Don for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
