Every week, we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week, we are celebrating Susan Galle, a school office
administrator at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. Susan was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Sue has been a part of our school community for over 20 years, and for the past 4 years, has been the heart of St. Cats. Her dedication, endless knowledge, and professionalism have shaped not only how our office runs, but also our entire school community.
Sue is a wonderful mentor, problem-solver, and friend to staff, students, and families. Our school simply wouldn’t be the same without her, and we are so grateful for all that she does!”
This week, we are also celebrating Brandan Piitz, a teacher at Monsignor Lee Catholic School. Brandan was nominated by a parent who said:
“Mr Piitz's dedication, encouragement, and genuine care have meant so much! I’ve seen my son grow in confidence, engage more fully in class, and look forward to school because of the environment Mr. Piitz fosters. His willingness to go the extra mile, whether it was explaining things again, offering support when things get tough, or simply showing he believes in my son, has made a lasting difference!
Mr. Piitz hasn't just taught lessons; he has built a positive foundation for my son’s learning and success! He is simply a wonderful teacher and should be celebrated 💙”
