Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Rosalia Boragina, a
teacher at Holy Cross Catholic School. Rosalia was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Ms. Boragina is hardworking and a wonderful support to everyone at Holy Cross. At the drop of a hat, she is there to help and assist with anything that is asked. She goes over and above and has made Holy Cross a wonderful environment with her beautiful displays and wonderful library setting.
Students love spending time with Ms. Boragina and she is well respected throughout the school by staff and students. Thank you for all you do. It makes a big difference.”
This week we are also celebrating Andrea Keown, an educational assistant at Monsignor Clair Catholic School. Andrea was nominated by a parent who said:
“My family and I would love to nominate Ms. Keown from Monsignor Clair. Ms. Keown is one of a kind. It’s hard to put into words what an amazing EA Ms. Keown is without getting emotional. We have been so blessed to have Ms. Keown work with our child. She truly took the time to understand our child's needs and has worked so closely with our child to understand them, and their needs and to truly make our child transition into school a successful one. She truly has shown how amazing she is. We trust her completely with our child. It’s not easy handing our child with complex needs into someone else’s hands, but she gained our trust and our hearts from the beginning. Thank you Ms. Andrea Keown for being you! We appreciate everything you have done and continue to do for our child. We will forever be in awe of what an amazing EA you are!”
We would like to thank Rosalia and Andrea for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
