Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who a parent, student or colleague has recognized.
We celebrate Rachel Arcara, a St. Paul’s Catholic School

teacher, this week. Rachel was nominated by a parent who said:
“I just wanted to let you know that Ms. Arcara has been an absolute pleasure to work with in regards to supporting my son these past two weeks. I can see the dedication and care she puts forth towards her students and her work."

This week, we also celebrate Vanessa Partland, a St. Charles Catholic School teacher. Vanessa was nominated by a parent who said:
“Ms. Partland has made my child's introduction to school an easy transition. As a young child, it is important to have a teacher whom you know you can go to for help with anything, and that is exactly how Ms. Partland presents herself to the children in her classroom. She is fun, warm, and loving. She teaches the kindergarten curriculum in a way that the children not only find fun but where they truly learn. She is consistently considerate of her students, their needs, and their emotional well-being. My child wakes up every day excited to go to school because of the fun and loving environment she creates as a passionate educator!”
We thank Rachel and Vanessa for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
