Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Nicole Morris-Palma, an Nicole Morris-Palma elementary curriculum consultant at Academic Services. Nicole was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Nicole has been a wonderful help during my transition as a teacher. She has gone above and beyond her duties as a consultant and has provided me with many wonderful resources. She has been very supportive and kind, and my class loves it when she comes to visit! Thank you so much for all that you do!”

Shelley SalisburyThis week we are also celebrating Shelley Salisbury, a teacher at Sister Catherine Donnelly Catholic School. Shelley was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Shelley has taken the time to recognize a need in our community by staying current with local news and has subsequently provided an opportunity for her students to make a REAL impact in the local community - beyond the school. Recognizing the need of the Salvation Army in providing hot meals to members of our local community, Shelley's students are taking part in the preparation and packing of meals that are picked up at the school on a monthly basis. She is taking her own time to provide an opportunity for students to be witnesses to their faith by being charitable with their time. She has provided a REAL learning opportunity that is not about personal achievement but rather about uplifting others.”

We would like to thank Nicole and Shelley for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
