Every week, we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week, we are celebrating Lisa Krysko and Lindsay Channing, special education resource
teachers at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. Lisa and Lindsay were nominated by a colleague who said:
“Lisa and Lindsay are such an incredible part of our school community. Whether it’s offering support, sharing their time, or going above and beyond to ensure our students feel valued and encouraged, their kindness, genuine care, and dedication truly shine through. Our school is a better, warmer place because of their presence, and we are so grateful for all that they do!”
This week, we are also celebrating Allison Daly, a teacher at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School. Allison was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Allison consistently goes above and beyond at our school. She is full of creative ideas that engage both staff and students, and she doesn’t just dream them up—she brings them to life. As a Grade 7/8 teacher, Allison juggles many responsibilities, yet she always finds time to empower her students as leaders. She regularly organizes opportunities for them to visit primary classes and lead special events such as Halloween and Christmas activities, as well as food drives.
In addition to leading countless school-wide initiatives, Allison also coaches multiple teams. She is a true team player—flexible, supportive, and always willing to lend a hand. Colleagues know they can turn to her for advice, collaboration, or simply a good conversation. Her wealth of knowledge and positive attitude make her an invaluable member of our school community. We are so fortunate to have her as part of our staff.”
We would like to thank Lisa, Lindsay, and Allison for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
