Every week, we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week, we are celebrating Liana Ciniello and Silvana
Di Preta, office administrators at Monsignor J.E Ronan Catholic School. Liana and Silvana were nominated by a colleague who said:
“Thank you to our amazing office staff!
Thank you for everything you do each day. Your hard work, patience, and dedication make such a difference for our students, families, and staff. You handle every challenge with kindness and professionalism, and our school simply wouldn’t run without you. We appreciate your warm smiles, your problem-solving, and the care you show to everyone who walks through our doors. Thank you for being the heart of our school!”
This week, we are also celebrating Dave Twigg, a teacher at St. Jean de Brébeuf Catholic School. Dave was nominated by a colleague who said:
“I would like to nominate Mr. Dave Twigg, a dedicated educator who has been teaching for more than 30 years. Despite his many years in the profession, his commitment to students has never wavered. He continues to demonstrate compassion, understanding, and an unwavering belief in every child he teaches. Mr. Twigg's lessons are thoughtful, engaging, and deeply connected to our Catholic faith. Each day, he brings his students closer to values we cherish: kindness, respect, and service. His calm, consistent presence creates a learning environment where all students feel valued. Students admire him, and parents truly appreciate the positive impact he has on their children. SJB is blessed to have a teacher like Mr. Twigg, whose dedicated and faith-filled leadership enriches the lives of all those he teaches.”
