Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week, we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, a student, or a colleague.

This week, we are celebrating Helen Rose, an Helen Rose educational assistant at St. John Vianney Catholic School. Helen was nominated by a colleague who said:

“Ms. Rose is the most patient person I have ever come across. Her ability to connect with students is unmatched. We are truly blessed to have her as part of our school family. Her faith is something I have admired for a long time, and she is someone I'm proud to look up to.”

Lynn DaoustThis week, we are also celebrating Lynn Daoust, an educational assistant at Monsignor Clair Catholic School. Lynn was nominated by a colleague who said:

“Appreciated by many on staff for her sense of humour, Lynn is also greatly appreciated as a deeply caring, insightful, and dedicated educational assistant. Lynn is thorough in her knowledge and consistent in her application of effective strategies, which results in her students thriving in her care. Lynn is also deeply appreciated for the little extras that she offers to do around the school, including helping with the gardens. By providing thoughtful mentorship to new educational assistants who work with her, Lynn makes sure they feel welcomed and a part of the team. We are blessed to have Lynn as a part of our staff.”

We would like to thank Helen and Lynn for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
