Every week, we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week, we are celebrating Erin Comeau, a literacy
and numeracy coach at Academic Services. Erin was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Erin's passion and work ethic are evident in the time and care she puts into working with classroom teachers as a math consultant. The work she prepares is detailed, relevant, and user-friendly; she co-teaches effortlessly and models how teaching mathematics should be done. I have had the pleasure of working with Erin over the last 2 years, and I hope it continues! Thank you, Erin, for all that you do!”
This week, we are also celebrating Lesley Truemner, a teacher at Monsignor Lee Catholic School. Lesley was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Mrs. Truemner has brought back the magic of the performing arts to life at Monsignor Lee, creating unforgettable experiences for students and staff alike. Her dedication and countless hours of work on The Little Mermaid Jr—a production that rivaled a Mirvish show—transformed our stage into an underwater wonderland. From casting to costumes, choreography to curtain call, she inspired young performers to shine and showed our school community the power of creativity, collaboration, and heart. We are so blessed with her talents that she has shared with us!”
