Celebrating Staff LogoEvery week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Meredith Warboys, Katie EAs at NOD Mitchell, Nathan Rehm, Lynda Woolner, Cheryl Oakes, Amanda Griffin, Kathy Cole and Hope Trethewey, who are all Educational Assistants at Notre Dame Catholic School. Meredith, Katie, Nathan, Lynda, Cheryl, Amanda, Kathy and Hope were nominated by a colleague, who said:

“The Educational Assistants of Notre Dame are unsung heroes of our staff. They quietly yet efficiently support many students to be successful members of their classes and our school community. Even in a large school, with a vast array of strengths and needs, the team is thoroughly dedicated to guiding a multitude of students to achieve their individual goals with care and patience. They juggle a busy and fast-moving schedule with grace and kindness. It is an honour to work with them and they deserve great thanks for sharing their insight, intuition, and expertise on a daily basis”

This week we are also celebrating Gerald Calderon, an Educational Assistant at St. Angela Merici Catholic School. Gerald was nominated by a colleague, who said:

Gerald Caleron“Gerald is a hard working and dedicated educational assistant. He is constantly going over and above for not only the students he works directly with but with all students. He is happy, calm and engaged. He is often found playing with the younger students at recess. Gerald would be a welcome addition to any staff, we are lucky to have him at SAM!”

We would like to thank Meredith, Katie, Nathan, Lynda, Cheryl, Amanda, Kathy and Hope at Notre Dame Catholic School and Gerald at St. Angela Merici Catholic School for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
