Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who a parent, student or colleague has recognized.
This week, we celebrate Claudia Ciamarone, an

educational assistant at Holy Cross Catholic School. Claudia was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Claudia is an educator who demonstrates care and empathy for students and fellow staff. She shows joy in her work with students with diverse needs by greeting everyone with a warm smile. She is compassionate and patient, challenging her students to achieve each day while showing empathy to each student's situation. Claudia is such an asset in our classrooms.”

This week, we are also celebrating Michelle Fraser, a St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School teacher. Michelle was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Ms. Fraser came to St. Catherine of Siena in the fall of 2024. She made an instant impact to our school community. Ms. Fraser brings kindness, empathy, and a genuine joy to our school. When teaching kindergarten and primary science, Ms. Fraser provides creative lessons that our students look forward to each day. As well, Michelle has been active in the extracurricular program as a coach for both the junior and intermediate girls volleyball teams and our Track and Field team. The St. Cats community is fortunate to have Ms. Fraser on their staff.”
We thank Claudia and Michelle for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
