Carla is a teacher and Jennifer is a designated early childhood educator (DECE) at Sister Catherine Donnelly Catholic School in Barrie. They were nominated by a parent, who said:

“Ms. Bradley and Ms. Malone have been instrumental in the life ofour five year old son Emmerson.  Emmerson was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate and has faced a number of different challenges from hearing impairment to speech impairment. He has and will continue to have a number of different surgeries and procedures for his condition. Emmerson always looks forward to school and he is jennifer maloneexcited to learn as Ms. Bradley and Ms. Malone encourage and empower him daily. Emmerson's enthusiasm can be attributed to the environment, compassionate approach, talent and skill that both Ms. Bradley and Ms. Malone have established and continue to cultivate in their classroom. Thank you for being amazing teachers that have answered God's call to your vocation as educators. We are blessed and forever grateful for your compassion and example of living and preaching the Gospel daily to and for your students.”

Marilyn Tropea was an educational assistant (EA) at Foley Catholic School in Brechin. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Marilyn demonstrates her commitment to student learning on a daily basis. She is a great mentor for students but also for the staff. Everyone with whom she has crossed paths, has been truly blessed by her unselfish care, dedication and cheerfulness. I know even in retirement she will continue to impact those whom lives she has touched, she will be missed by our school community.”

We would like to thank Carla, Jennifer and Marilyn for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
