Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Kim Keyes, Todd James and Jason Beaulin.

Kim is a teacher at St. Paul's Catholic School in Alliston. She was nominated by a parent, who said:

“As a parent of a child with anxiety, a new school year can be overwhelming. kim keyes We were thrilled when our daughter was placed in Ms. Keyes class because of her beautiful classroom space, her kind nature and her willingness to go the extra mile to motivate her students. At the end of the year, Ms. Keyes gave every child a framed photo of them with her. My daughter was so happy to receive this special gift and it has a special place on her desk. Thank you, Ms. Keyes, for being such an inspiration to our daughter; she'll remember you forever.”

Todd James and Jason Beaulin are Building Maintenance Lead Hands at Facilities Services in Barrie. They were nominated by a colleague, who said:

jason and todd“Jason and Todd were extremely helpful, hard-working, knowledgeable and present. They came, walking the grounds, listening patiently to staff concerns and questions and responding to numerous emails. Todd and Jason took it upon themselves to make very positive recommendations, and then choose and deliver the proper materials. They stayed with the jobs until they were complete. They were very kind and made us all - staff and students - feel very valued. St. Peter the Apostle students, staff and families are very appreciative of the work they completed for our school.”

We would like to thank Kim, Todd and Jason for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
