Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.

This week we are celebrating Jean Cerilli, Wendy Paz and Susan Bonney.

Jean is a teacher and Wendy is a designated early childhood educatorjean cerilli (DECE) at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School in Innisfil. They were nominated by a parent, who said:

“This dynamic duo are the reason kids love school. The positive, loving atmosphere they create in their classroom is beyond amazing. As a family, this is our fourth year with them. They have welcomed all my children and all other children into their class with loving arms. They go above and beyond for everyone.

wendy pazThey are always there to lend a helping hand, even when the kids are no longer in their class. When my middle daughter had a hard time transitioning to Grade 1, they were there to help her. When my oldest has a problem, she knows she can always count on them to help guide her through. Our school is a better place because they are part of an amazing team that lead, guide and encourage all students to be the best they can be.”

Susan Bonney is an office administrator at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Tottenham. She was nominated by a colleague, who said:

“Sue is, and has been for years, the go-to person at STS. Go-to for what? Yoususan bonney can go to her for almost anything and she gets it done. Whether you are fighting with the photocopier or need a hand with a Google Doc, Sue will help!! She seemingly can do ten things at once, and all with a smile on her face. She is the definition of efficiency and calm. She is a great role model for all the students at STS - the face of the franchise!!!”

We would like to thank Jean, Wendy and Susan for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
