Friar's Student Writing Contest
Posted on 02/03/2020

The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement-Graymoor and The Catholic Register are proud to invite Ontario students 14-18 years old to participate in the 2020 Friars’ Student Writing Content for a chance to win one of three exciting technology prizes.

In celebration of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, students are asked to read Acts 28:1-2 and submit a 500-word essay that answers this question:

Welcoming strangers, whether they are from other cultures or beliefs, immigrants or refugees, is both to love Christ and to love as God loves. Hospitality should be a hallmark of every Christian. How can Catholics and Christians of all denominations collaborate to be examples of Christ’s love and extend the same kindness to people in need that St. Paul encountered in Malta?

1st place prize: Laptop - Asus Vivo Book

2nd place prize: Phone - Samsung A50

3rd place prize: Speakers: Marley

Students must submit their essay by Monday, February 17, 2020.
