Black History Month
Posted on 02/01/2020

Each year, Canadians spend the month of February honouring the legacy of Black Canadians from the past and present. This year, the theme for Black History Month is: "Canadians of African Descent: Going forward, guided by the past."

Throughout the month, students in the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board will be learning about the contributions and achievements of these influential individuals, and their impact on our country.

Please join us in sharing and celebrating Black Canadians throughout history, who have done so much to make Canada the culturally diverse, compassionate and prosperous nation it is today.
