Will You Do Your Rock and Roll Duty This Prom?

With prom just just around the corner students are anxious to show off their fancy outfits and dance the night away. We know that students want to have fun, but the Safe and Sober Awareness Committee, in conjunction with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) want to remind drivers of the dangers and consequences of impaired driving.

Legendary Canadian rock icon Kim Mitchell created a public service announcement, “Rock and Roll Duty” to educate drivers of cars, boats, motorcycles and ATV’s to never drive impaired.

Students are encouraged to think responsibly not only during prom, but every time they get into a vehicle as a driver or passenger. If you or someone else drinks or uses a substance find another option for getting home. Call a sober friend, parent, or taxi and ensure that you arrive alive.

We wish you all a safe and enjoyable prom night!
