Over the last several months, Grade 7 and 8 students from the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board and the Simcoe County District School Board have been hard at work trying to find solutions to everyday problems. Now, on Wednesday, April 19, the 360 local student inventors will finally be able to showcase their creations at the Learning Partnership’s annual Invention Convention.

The creations are a culmination of the Learning Partnership’s Investigation! Invent! Innovate! Program which integrates elements of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The students have come up with some amazing inventions including the Super Soap Saver, Gamers Nightmare Locking Device, and the Remote Control Waste Basket.

Family, friends and community members are invited to attend the event between 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 - 2 p.m., at the Kozlov Centre in Barrie to walk through and speak with students about their inventions.
