Winter Attire and Emergency Evacuation
Published on Nov 6, 2018 14:35

Greetings Families of International Languages Programs

Now that the weather is changing and it is getting colder every weekend, we want to make parents aware that students should still come dressed for the weather conditions.
Emergency protocol is the same on weekends as it would be during the regular school day.
In the event that we have to evacuate the building because of a fire alarm etc. students need to have warm outer wear.  Students will hang their jackets on the back of their chairs in the classrooms.  For safety reasons in classrooms boots will be placed in the hall and we encourage indoor shoes to be be worn by the students.

We will evacuate to the back of the school yard(s) until the Fire Department says we can return.
In the event that we have to evacuate the school and can not return to it, students will walk to our evacuation location(s).
In Barrie, Monsignor Clair Catholic Elementary School and in Bradford, Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library.

Our staff is trained in the emergency preparedness plan with the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.
